In order to view message history for selected contact(s), click to expand the “Contacts Selected” toggle and click on a recipient number.
The “History” window will appear on the right, with recent SMS communication to this contact. Select the “Show Team Communication” box to display previous contact by all users on your account.
NOTE: Contacts who previously opted out of receiving SMS notifications will display in red text and will not receive the message.

Your SMS templates are now stored in the RockendSMS online platform.
To access these, simply click on the “Login to Rockend SMS” button located at the bottom of your sending screen.
Here you will see a list of the current templates
For those with Rockend SMS Administrator permissions, those tagged with a “globe” are global account templates visible to all users on your account.
Amending or deleting these will effect their visibility for all users.
Any templates that have not been saved as a “global template” are considered your personal templates and are visible only to you and can be amended and deleted without effecting any other users.
Click on the name of the template to view/edit it – above the save button you will see the “Save as global template” check box.
NOTE: Users with Standard permissions can only create/edit personal templates. For Rest Professional users, templates that include mail merge data will only be visible during the “Print Letters/Mail Merge” process.

You can dynamically change between 1 way and 2 way SMS, depending on your message.
Set Allow Replies to ON if you want to allow the contact to reply to the SMS message.
Replies can be sent to your email and are logged in your Web Inbox (accessed via Rockend SMS Online), or to your verified mobile number.
Set Allow Replies to OFF to send your message from a verified Sender ID ie. your office name.
NOTE: Sender ID’s are limited to 11 characters and must exclude spaces and symbols. Select “New Sender ID” from the Sender ID dropdown list to create and verify a new one.
When sending using the Replies ON function and Sender ID set to “Replies to Web Inbox/Email“, the “from” number is randomly selected from our free pool of data numbers in order to establish a reply path.

Use the message box to manually type your message or select from templates to populate.
The message counter at the bottom will calculate your messages parts as you type.
NOTE: 1 standard SMS = 160 characters
Use the Category toggles under the message box to insert merge data into your message.
For Rest Professional users, merge data can only be inserted into messages sent in via the “Print Letters/ Mail Merge” process.

SMS Messages can be scheduled to be sent as a Once Off message at a later date/time or on a regular repeat basis.
NOTE: When messages are scheduled to be sent at a later stage, merge data is taken at the time the message is saved. Changes to arrears etc, cannot be automatically updated.
For Strata Master users, a record of the messages sent at a later date/time will not be saved to Strata Master but can be accessed via the Reporting option in Rockend SMS Online.
