Ensure you’re getting the best results from sending SMS.
We’ve used our mobile marketing expertise together with your feedback, to compile a list of best practices and handy hints for using SMS. Here are our next 2 tips..
5. Know when to use the reply functionality
The dynamic reply functionality built into the enhanced SMS feature, makes it easy to switch replies ON and OFF as required, however the context of your message should determine when this function is used. Marketing messages of a sales nature should use the reply “ON” method to allow for the automated opt out to function correctly.
Hint: We recommend sending arrears with replies switched off – the message header is replaced with your company name – and the message should include a call to action such as “Please contact our office on 95185955 to discuss”
6. Ensure that you correctly schedule message time and date
Ensure that you correctly schedule message time and date.
Hint: Scheduling messages for a later date and time is great for property managers who find themselves out of their office for parts of the day. This function is perfect for single messages to owners/tenants/suppliers for reminders and alerts. While it can also be used when doing mail merge SMS, to ensure the information in your message is current, it is advised to schedule these no more than 24 hours in advance.
