Ensure you’re getting the best results from sending SMS.
We’ve used our mobile marketing expertise together with your feedback, to compile a list of best practices and handy hints for using SMS. We’ll be posting new tips here over the coming weeks. Here are our top 2 to kick us off..
1. Keep your message as concise as possible
Although you are technically able to send in excess of 160 characters (one standard SMS), keeping your message short and sharp is still very important. People glance at messages and if they need to scroll to read, it may tend to be left for later.
Hint: If you have more information to send in your message, ask recipients to call your office for further details at the end of your SMS.
2. Arrears messages or notifications are best sent earlier in the day.
Important notifications such as arrears are best sent in the morning to ensure they don’t get lost among the day’s daily tasks and allow the recipient ample time to contact you if necessary.
